Cri du berger was commissioned and premiered by Benjamin Carat who has then performed it many times in Europe and North America. It has also been performed by several other cellists around the world. the sound of inevitability was commissioned by Stichting Ton Bruynel as a prize for winning the first ever Ton Bruynel prize with the piece calm like a bomb. It was premiered by Frances-Marie Uitti and Jorge Isaac at Paradiso during the Gaudeamus festival 2002 and has later been performed in Holland, Denmark and Sweden by different musicians.
